An Important Message to Patriots!
I love my country. As a former veteran, I taught my children the importance of service. And now I am a proud Marine mom of two beautiful sons who raised their hands just as I did, just as all their forefathers did - to serve this nation. As a veteran, I see it as my responsibility to stand against an expansive government that will continue to tax us to death to support itself and its welfare, bailout state of mind, to stand against those who do not lead with a moral compass, and to vote against those who are not willing to uphold the Constitution. ALL citizens must get engaged politically. We must force this country back to center where common sense and fiscal responsibility prevail - where only principled candidates willing to uphold the Constitution get sent to Washington to represent us.
Never forget that you are an American . . .
a product of many generations of immigrant pioneers who built this great land with their blood, sweat and tears - like my German grandfather, Peter John Elfers, who wanted freedom so desperately that he left his family at the age of 16 and stole passage on a navy ship, grew up to serve on the city council in Indianapolis, and saved many families during the depression by giving them food from the canning plant he worked in. He raised six children; three of his sons served during the war, as is evidenced by the flag in the upper right corner of the wonderful old photograph above. Peter John died penniless, but he died free in America. And he paved the way for me and my children to have a wonderful life.
As Americans, we all carry that genetic imprint from our forefathers - what I call the independent, warrior spirit gene, that brave adventurer state of mind, that grew up this little rogue nation to become a superpower. We each have that gene in us to call on.
Which will it be for you, American patriot? Fight or flight? Do you see that your very way life is being threatened by an intrusive government that will never arrest its own growth? Is it too hard to believe that there are progressives within it who have every intention of destroying the capitalist way of life that built every small town in this country? I urge you to become a defender of the republic, a freedom fighter, someone who is not afraid to stand against big government. Wake up and get politically engaged before it is too late.
